**** RITU BAHRI, J. (Oral) Present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.65 dated 22.06.2015, under Sections 498-A, 406, 323 and 506 IPC, registered at Police Station Bahav Wala, Tehsil Abohar, District Fazilka.
In the present case, notice of motion was issued on 08.09.2016 on the limited issue to explore the possibility of compromise. Thereafter, vide order dated 02.02.2017, the matter was referred to Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court and parties were directed to appear before the Centre on 20.02.2017 to resolve the disputes. CRM-M-31636-2016 -2As per the report of the Mediator, the parties have settled their dispute by way of amicable settlement/compromise dated 26.05.2017. Learned counsel for the complainant states that all the conditions of the settlement/compromise are being complied with and complainant has no objection if the present FIR registered against the petitioner is quashed.
Keeping in view the above facts, FIR No.65 dated 22.06.2015, under Sections 498-A, 406, 323 and 506 IPC, registered at Police Station Bahav Wala, Tehsil Abohar, District Fazilka and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed. The present petition stands disposed of.
