MADAAN Present:- Mr. Amit Dhawan, Advocate for the petitioners. *** It is a case of petitioner no. 1 Jaswinder Kaur getting married with petitioner no. 2 Hardeep Singh against the wishes of family members of petitioner no. 1 arrayed as respondents no. 4-Jaswinder Singh-brother and respondent no. 5-Pal Kaur-mother in the petition. Petitioners apprehend danger to their lives and liberty at the hands of private respondents, therefore, they have approached this Court by way of filing the instant petition. The petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 2 Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar Rural to take necessary steps to ensure that life and liberty of the petitioners is not jeopardised at the hands of respondents no. 4 and 5. However, this direction will not validate the marriage said to have taken place between the petitioners and will have no effect on any civil or criminal action which could be initiated in the matter in accordance with law.
