(Oral) Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, in a case arising out of F.I.R No. 38 of 10.08.2016, under Sections 420/406/498-A IPC, registered at P.S. Women Cell, Bathinda. Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Jasvir Singh, has informed the Court that the matter stands compromised between the parties and petitioner has also joined the investigation and custodial interrogation of the petitioner is no longer required.

Learned counsel for the parties does not dispute the fact that the matter stands compromised between the parties and petitioner has also handed over Rs.25,000/- in the Court today to the complainant towards litigation expenses. In view of the totality of the facts and circumstances of the case, order dated 08.09.2016 passed by this Court whereby the ad-interim anticipatory bail was granted to the petitioner is made absolute. The petitioner shall continue to join the investigation as and when required to do so and abide by all the conditions as envisaged under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C However, the petitioner is at liberty to file fresh bail bonds after presentation of the challan.
