Seeking direcƟon to respondent No.3 to take acƟon on representaƟon dated 20.03.2023 (Annexure P-1), the peƟƟoner has come up before this court under SecƟon 482 Cr.P.C. 2.

NoƟces are served upon the official respondents through the State's counsel. Given the nature of the order that this Court proposes to pass, neither the response of official respondents nor the issuance of noƟces to the private respondents is required. 3.

The peƟƟoner's counsel wants to withdraw the main peƟƟon with a direcƟon that in case, he files a fresh representaƟon the concerned Superintendent of Police/Commissioner of Police, the same be decided in a Ɵme bound manner. Given the peƟƟoner's stand, the present peƟƟon is disposed of with a direcƟon that in case the peƟƟoner files a new representaƟon within one month from today, the concerned Superintendent of Police/Commissioner of Police either personally or delegate the same to any IPS Officer under him, shall decide the same within two months from the date of filing of representaƟon. It is clarified that such an order must be a reasoned order, and the same be communicated to the representaƟonists without delay. 5.

It is clarified that there is no adjudicaƟon on merits and this order shall not come in the way if the interrogaƟon of the peƟƟoner is required in any cognizable case.
