The present second petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 148 dated 31.08.2023 registered under Sections 302, 34 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, 1959 registered at Police Station Beas District Amritsar Rural.

This is the second anticipatory bail seeking relief despite the fact that the first anticipatory bail of the petitioner was dismissed on merits on 08.01.2024 and nothing is coming forth with regard to any changed circumstances.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the present petition.

In light of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition stands dismissed as withdrawn, however, directions are issued to the respondent-authorities to take appropriate action in accordance with law and if required, a Senior Officer may look into the issue as to what action the Investigating Officer has taken after 08.01.2024 in the present FIR.
