(ORAL) Prayer in this Criminal Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constituion of India, is for issuance of an appropriate writ, especially in the nature of Mandamus directing respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the life and personal liberty of the petitioner, at the hands of respondents No. 4 to 6.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that at this stage, she would be satisfied if direction is issued to respondent No. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Batala, to consider and take a final decision representations dated 10.02.2024 and 14.02.2024 (Annexures P-1 and P2, respectively) made by the petitioner, in a time bound manner. Notice of motion.

On the asking of Court, Mr. Kunwarbir Singh, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 4 and submits that he has no objection in case the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner at this stage, is accepted.
