SANDEEP MOUDGIL, J (Oral) The instant petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No.2 to consider the application dated 17.03.2025 (Annexure P-5) and to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents as petitioner No.1 has solemnized marriage with petitioner No.2 against the wishes of private respondents. 2.

Learned State counsel, at the outset, on instructions from SHO/Inspector Jasbir Singh, Police Station, Jodhewal, submitted that the matter has been duly considered in the light of representation dated 17.03.2025 by the Competent Authority, and an order has been passed to the effect that there is no threat perception existing to the petitioners. 3.

Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioners, who is also satisfied, does not press the instant petition and prays for withdrawal of the same.
