( Oral ) Petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for issuance of directions to respondents No. 1 to 3 to protect their life and liberty and to provide adequate security to protect them from respondent Nos.4 to 6, who are parents and brother of petitioner No.1. At this stage, Mr. Bikramjit Arora, Advocate has appeared and filed vakalatnama on behalf of respondent No.4 and Mr. Shubham Kaushik, Advocate has filed vakalatnama on behalf of respondent No.5. Heard.

Without saying anything regarding the status of the petitioners, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar to look into the representation dated 06.09.2016 (Annexure P-2), filed by the petitioners within one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. He is also directed to hold an inquiry into the matter and if he is satisfied that there is a serious threat to the life and liberty of the petitioners, then to take necessary steps to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from private respondents, as per law.
