(ORAL) In the present writ petition, the grievance is that as per instructions issued by the Government of Punjab on 14.03.2017 (Annexure P-2), petitioners, who belong to the General Category and were superceded by the candidates belonging to the reserve category for promotion, are entitled for step up of their pay after they were also promoted to the same rank, on which the juniors belonging to reserve category were performing the duties. The details of the promotion of the juniors have been given by the petitioners in paragraph 5 of the present writ petition.
Counsel for the petitioner further states that for the relief, which has been sought in the present writ petition, petitioners have submitted the representations dated 17.03.2018; 27.06.2018; 12.06.2018 and 30.05.2017 (Annexures P-3 to P-6) respectively, which are still NARESH KUMAR 2019.04.25 15:30 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
CWP-10157-2019 -2pending consideration with the respondents and the petitioners will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to the respondents to decide the said representations. In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioners, the respondents are directed to decide the representations dated 17.03.2018; 27.06.2018; 12.06.2018 and 30.05.2017 (P-3 to P-6) by passing the appropriate speaking orders within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. In case after the decision, it is found that the petitioners are entitled for any monetary benefit, the same shall also be released to them within a period of next three months. Present writ petition stands disposed of.
