MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (ORAL) Petitioner is seeking grant of parole/furlough for eight weeks as he has suffered a paralytic stroke while in custody, for which he is stated to be undergoing treatment at GMCH, Sector 32, Chandigarh.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a representation has also been given to the Superintendent, Central Jail, Hoshiarpur, on 04.04.2024 (Annexure P-4), however, no decision has been taken on the same. He submits that the petitioner will be satisfied in case respondent No.3 is directed to consider and decide his representation at the earliest keeping in view the serious condition of the petitioner.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Navdeep Singh, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

In view of the restricted prayer of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the instant petition is disposed of with directions to respondent No.3-Superintendent, Central Jail, Hoshiarpur, to look into PUNEET SACHDEVA 2024.04.10 16:22 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
