The petitioner, at whose instance criminal proceedings vide FIR No.48 dated 13.02.2026 for commission of offence punishable under Sections 329,62,303 (2) of BNS were registered at P.S Sahnewal against unknown persons, has filed the present petition under Section 528 of BNSS, praying therein for issuance of appropriate directions to respondent Nos. 1 to 3 to conduct a fair and impartial investigation into the aforesaid FIR. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Investigation in the aforesaid FIR is moving at a snail's pace. After lodging of the aforesaid FIR, petitioner has been receiving constant threats, which have been brought to the notice of the police officials concerned but no appropriate action was taken. Learned counsel, at this stage, restricts his prayer to direct the official respondents to decide the representation dated 26.02.2026 (Annexure P.1) moved by the petitioner in time bound manner.

In view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner and, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 to look into the representation dated 26.02.2026 (Annexure P.1) and decide the same as expeditiously as possible, in accordance with law.
