Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

Perused contents of the petition along with Annexures thereof. It is stated that petitioners are major and as per Hindu Marriage Act both are above marriage able age. It is their first marriage. Petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 3, i.e. Station House Officer, Police Station Sector 31, Chandigarh, that the contents of the representation dated 13.05.2021 (Annexure P-4), seeking protection of life and liberty be duly verified. If necessary, requisite steps be taken, in accordance with law, for grant of protection of life and liberty to the petitioners. It is clarified that this order shall neither be treated as a stamp of this Court qua marriage of the petitioners nor any reflection on the merits of the contentions raised by them in the present petition.

Present petition stands disposed of.
