Learned counsel for the petitioner has confined his submission only for grant of protection to the life and liberty of petitioner and her family members from the hands of respondent No.5. Petitioner is living in village Muthada Kalan, Tehsil Phillaur, District Jalandhar while respondent No.5 is residing in village Bilga, Tehsil and District Jalandhar. Respondent No.5 is wife of Sukhdeep Singh son of petitioner and there appears to be some matrimonial dispute between them regarding which a compromise has been alleged, copy of which has been placed on file as Annexure P-2. In her representation (Annexure P-4) to the police, petitioner has alleged that respondent No.5 is giving threat to implicate her and her husband in a false criminal case.

On such type of vague allegations, no direction can be given to SACHIN MEHTA 2018.08.02 16:34 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document HIGH COURT, CHANDIGARH the police as sought by the petitioner. The petitioner will be at liberty to

Dismissed.

However, as and when the petitioner apprehends threat to her life and liberty, she may move application before Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, who will look into the allegations in the representation and take appropriate action in accordance with law.
