Pursuant to the interim order dated 14.9.2016 the petitioner has joined the investigation.

As per the allegations of prosecution agency, 400 intoxicating tablets were allegedly recovered from the co-accused of the petitioner Gagandeep Singh, while the petitioner escaped. The petitioner has been involved in the case on the basis of confessional statement made by Gagandeep Singh in custody.

On the instructions of HC Gurcharan Singh, it has been informed that the petitioner has joined the investigation and that the petitioner was not arrested from the spot.

In view of the said circumstances, the petition is allowed and it is ordered that in case of arrest of the petitioner, he will be released on bail to the satisfaction of the arresting officer subject to the condition that the petitioner will join the investigation as and when required by the police and will not tamper with evidence or hamper the investigation.
