MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (ORAL) Petitioners are seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 to 4 to take appropriate action on the complaint dated 16.11.2023, whereby DDR/Rapat No.37 dated 16.11.2023 had been registered at Police Station Adampur, Hisar.

Status report by way of affidavit of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Law & Order, Hisar. has been filed in Court, which is taken on record.

Learned State counsel at the outset has drawn the attention of this Court to Annexure R-2, which has been annexed with the status report. Learned State counsel has submitted that during investigation, it had come to the fore that it was in fact, the petitioners, who were the aggressors and thereafter, to fabricate evidence in their favour, had got themselves admitted in the hospital; all the injuries sustained by them were found to be simple in nature.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners has, however, disputed the submissions made by the counsel for the State and submitted that the inquiry/investigation carried out by the official respondents was totally shoddy and cryptic. It has been submitted that the statement of the injured witnesses was also not recorded. 5.

Be that as it may, in view of the averments made in the status report, no ground is made out for issuance of directions. 6.

Dismissed.

The petitioners are, however, at liberty to avail of alternate remedy available to them under law.
