The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to re-issue passport with correct date of birth.

The petitioner was issued passport on 13.01.2021 wherein date of birth of the petitioner was recorded as 21.09.1983. The petitioner vide application dated 05.04.2022 sought re-issuance of passport with correct date of birth i.e. 21.02.1983. The application of the petitioner is still pending before passport authority. The petitioner applied for correction of date of birth within one year from the date of issuance of passport. 3.

Learned counsel for Union of India, who on advance notice is present in Court, assets that passport authority would look into grievance of PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2023.11.17 14:25 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP No.7720 of 2023 -2- 2023:PHHC:146067 the petitioner and pass an appropriate order, in accordance with law, within six weeks from today.
