of 2,20,000 from petitioner Gurdev Singh @ Mangi and has settled the matter by way of compromise, on the basis of which a petition for quashment has already been filed.
Since parties have effected a compromise and in the light of contentions of learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody for the last three months, which is not refuted by learned State counsel, it would subserve the ends of justice if the prayer made in this petition is allowed. Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on regular bail to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate/ Duty Magistrate, Jalandhar.
The petition stands disposed off accordingly.
