CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE AJAY TEWARI
Present:
Mr. Sherry K. Singla, Advocate for the petitioners. Mr. Ashish Sanghi, DAG, Punjab.
1. Whether Reporters of local papers may be allowed to see the judgment?
2. To be referred to the Reporters or not?
3. Whether the judgment should be reported in the Digest? AJAY TEWARI, J (ORAL) Prayer is for quashing FIR No.34 dated 08.04.2012 under Sections 420,467,468,471 IPC, P.S Talwandi Sabo, District Bathinda and all consequential proceedings arising out of the same. Learned state counsel, on instructions from ASI Laxman Singh, states that the cancellation report has already been filed in court on 14.07.2012.
Faced with the aforesaid facts, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he would not press this petition but a direction be issued to the learned trial Court to decide the issue since even the cancellation report has been pending for the last more than three years. I find the request to be a fair one.
In these circumstances, while dismissing the petition as not pressed, a direction is given to the learned trial Court to take a final decision on the cancellation report within three months. October 08, 2015 (AJAY TEWARI) manoj JUDGE
