**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Prayer in this petition is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Certiorari for quashing the impugned order dated 01.03.2023 (Annexure P-16) passed by respondent No.3, vide which one annual increment of the petitioner without cumulative effect has been ordered to be withheld.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, vide order dated 25.01.2019, the petitioner was appointed as Peon in the Office of respondent No.3 and the petitioner joined as such on the said date i.e. 25.01.2019, itself.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for redressal of his grievances, the petitioner had moved a representation dated 01.03.20123 (Annexure P-17), but the same has not been decided till date. He confines his argument to the extent that the respondents be directed to decide the said representation in a time bound manner. CWP-7686-2023 (O&M) -2further submits that a direction may also be issued to consider the pleas taken in the present writ petition, as part of the said representation. Notice of motion to respondents No.1 and 2, only, at this stage.

On the asking of this Court, Ms. Tanushree Gupta, DAG Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of respondents-State No.1 and 2 and submits that she has no objection if the aforesaid limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner is allowed. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Director, Higher Education Department, Haryana, to decide the representation dated 01.03.2023 (Annexure P-17) moved by the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the receipt of the certified copy of this order, by passing a speaking order, as per law.
