**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL , J. (ORAL) Case is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing. This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a direction to respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner on account of continuous life threats given by respondent No. 4.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been receiving regular threats from respondent No. 4, who is the Managing Partner of Eastman International Company, Ludhiana. Learned State counsel has placed on record copy of the status report by way of affidavit of Assistant Commissioner of Police, Industrial Area-A, Ludhiana. As per the report, the inquiry was conducted in compliance to the order passed by this Court and the allegations levelled by the petitioner were found to be false. It has been further pointed out that the GURPREET SINGH 2020.07.28 16:04 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chadigarh petitioner was repeatedly asked to join the inquiry to give proof in support
CRWP No. 4108 of 2020 -2of his allegations of sending threatening mails by unknown person but the petitioner did not turn up to join the inquiry nor he could give any evidence in support of his allegations of sending the threatening mails/calls by unknown person. It has further been stated that during inquiry, it transpired that there is a business dispute between the petitioner and respondent No. 4 which has been given the colour of false allegations. Keeping in view the above, I do not find any merit in the present petition and the same is dismissed with costs of Rs. 10,000/- to be paid by the petitioner with the Poor Patient Welfare Fund, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
