**** RAMESHWAR SINGH MALIK J. (ORAL) Petitioners, by way of instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seek issuance of appropriate direction to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners. Notice of motion was issued and pursuant thereto, reply was filed. Thereafter, supplementary affidavit dated 2.5.2015 was filed by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana (Rural). Learned counsel for the State, while referring to para 3 of the supplementary affidavit, submits that since the complaint moved by respondent No.6 has been enquired into and the allegations against the petitioners were found baseless, petitioners will not be summoned in the police station in future. He further submits that in this view of the matter, present petition has been rendered infructuous and may be disposed of, as such.

CRM-M-34369 of 2013 Faced with the above, learned counsel for the petitioners also fairly states that let the present petition be disposed of in view of the statement made by learned counsel for the State, but liberty may be granted to the petitioners to approach the competent police officer in future, as and when necessity arises.

In view of the above statements made by learned counsel for the parties, present petition is disposed of, as having been rendered infructuous, however, with liberty as prayed for.
