This is a petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. seeking regular bail in a cross case registered against the petitioner vide report No. 14 in case FIR No. 99 dated 29.08.2008 under sections 307/148/149 IPC and section 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act at Police Station Sarhali, Tehsil & District Taran Tarn. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that allegation against the petitioner is that he inflicted two injuries in the altercation; one on head and another on left arm of Kuldeep Singh. According to him, investigation has been competed and trial pursuant to FIR and instant cross case is in progress. Thus, no useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioner in custody any longer.

CRM M-31662 of 2015 Keeping in view the aforesaid contentions, I am of the considered view that that no useful purpose would be served by detaining him in custody any longer. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, I deem it appropriate to grant regular bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, petition is allowed and petitioner is ordered to be enlarged on bail to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate,Taran Tarn.
