Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent No.5-Amandeep Kaur is wife of Bharpoor Singh son of petitioner, who has since died. After his death, the dispute arose about share of petitioner in provident fund and gratuity of her son and respondent No.5 in connivance with her brother started threatening to her and her husband and is not allowing to live peacefully in her house. He confines his submission only for protection of life and liberty of petitioner and her husband. Without expressing any opinion on merits of the plea taken in this petition or directing the police to intervene in the dispute regarding the gratuity, provident fund or other dispute between the parties, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.3-Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to verify the aspect of threat to the life and liberty of petitioner Sachin Mehta 2018.08.01 18:09 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document HIGH COURT, CHANDIGARH and her husband and take appropriate action in accordance with law on
