***** JASJIT SINGH BEDI, J. (Oral) The petitioner seeks the grant of anticipatory bail under Section 438 Cr.P.C. in a case bearing FIR No.56 dated 21.04.2022 under Section 61(1) of the Excise Act, 1914 registered with Police Station Kabarwala, District Sri Muktsar Sahib.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the interim order dated May 04, 2022, passed by this Court, the petitioner has joined the investigation.

The learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Inderjit Singh, submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation in terms of the order dated May 04, 2022, and is not required for custodial interrogation. The reply dated 28.06.2022 filed on behalf of the State is taken on record. The Registry is directed to tag the same at the appropriate place of the paperbook. In this view of the matter, interim order dated May 04, 2022 is made absolute.
