Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he presses for no other relief claimed in the representation (Annexure P-4) except that the petitioner has threat to his life and liberty at the hands of persons named in the representation.

Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.4-Senior Superintendent of Police, Kapurthala to verify the submission of the petitioner in the representation with regard to threat to his life and liberty and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

However, it is made clear that the above order will not be interpreted as giving any direction to the police to involve in the property dispute of the parties or providing protection to the petitioner from any legal action taken in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings initiated/pending against him in accordance with law.
