Having heard learned counsel for the appellant and also having gone through the impugned judgment, this Court finds that the learned Family Court has not erred in any manner while awarding monthly maintenance @ Rs.12,000/- in total to the respondents. Consequently, finding no merit in the instant appeal, the same is hereby dismissed.

However, at this stage since learned counsel for the appellant submitted that there still could be some chances of an amicable settlement, both the parties are directed to appear before Mediation and Conciliation Center of this Court on 18.5.2026 at 10:00 A.M.

It shall be open to the appellant to serve respondent No.1 through dasti process through Mr. Harpreet Singh, Advocate, District Courts, Patiala, who PANKAJ KAKKAR 2026.04.17 17:38 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh

RFA-736-2026 (O&M) ( 2 ) had been representing the respondents before the Family Court at Patiala. The appellant shall, however, pay an amount of `50,000/- to respondent No.1 upon her appearance before the Mediator towards part litigation, travelling, miscellaneous, expenses etc. The instant appeal, as such, is disposed off accordingly.

In case the parties are able to reach at any amicable settlement, it shall be open to them to have recourse to appropriate course as available to them. It shall also be open to the parties to associate with the mediation proceedings through video conference.
