The present contempt petition has been filed under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent for non-compliance of the order dated 20.12.2024 passed in a petition being CRM-M-64740-2024.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that his representation dated 01.12.2024 has not been decided within a period of 4 weeks as directed by this Court vide order dated 20.12.2024.

Issue notice to the respondents to show cause as to why proceedings under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 be not initiated against them for non-compliance of the aforesaid order. 4.
Mr. Pawan Kumar, DAG Punjab assisted by Lakhwinder Singh, DSP Attari and ASI Bias Dev, Police Station Ajnala, who are present in Court, have put in appearance on behalf of the respondent. Learned counsel for the State has filed a compliance report by way of an affidavit dated AMAN JAIN 2025.03.25 09:08 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment
COCP-1464-2025 (O&M) -223.03.2025 of Maninder Singh, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar (Rural) wherein it has been stated that the complaint filed by the petitioner herein was decided and was returned back to the SSP concerned on 08.02.2025 after following due procedure of law and was also uploaded on the Punjab Government Portal on 25.02.2025. 5.
Faced with the same, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present contempt petition. 6.
Dismissed as withdrawn. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
