(ORAL) Case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. Through this petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No. 50 dated 12.3.2020 under Sections 380, 420 IPC, registered at Police Station Zirakpur, District SAS Nagar, Mohali. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was not named in the FIR and he has been involved in this case on the disclosure statement of co-accused Harinder Pal Singh. He further submits that in the present case, complainant Aditya Kamboj got recorded his statement to the effect that his maternal uncle's son, namely, Amandeep Singh had stolen his credit card from his shop and Amandeep Singh in connivance with his friend, namely, Harinder Pal Singh had withdrawn Rs. 2.00 lacs from his account and also purchased jewellery worth Rs. 9,50,000/- by using the said credit card. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the present petition.

CRM-M-20343-2021 (O&M) -2uncle of the complainant, had stolen the credit card of the complainant. During investigation, it was found that the petitioner was also involved in the present case and as per the disclosure statement of the co-accused, the credit card was handed over to the petitioner, which is yet to be recovered. Thus, the petitioner and other co-accused had misused the credit card of the complainant and cheated him to the tune of Rs. 11.50 lacs. The allegations against the petitioner are serious in nature. No ground for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner is made out.

The petition is dismissed.
