(Oral) The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents, particularly, respondent No.2 to pay all the arrears of salary and other benefits of service to the petitioner from 24.03.1996 to 15.10.1997.

On 05.08.2024, learned counsel for the petitioner stated that during the pendency of the present petition, the petitioner has unfortunately died and he sought time to implead his legal representatives. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite his best efforts, he has not been able to get further instructions from the legal representatives of the petitioner.

In this view of the matter, the present petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.
