(Oral) The instant petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., for quashing of FIR No. 92, dated 13.04.2021, under Section 376 IPC, registered at Police Station Tripri, District Patiala (Annexure P-1), along with consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 26.04.2021 (Annexure P-2).

This Court does not find any cogent much less convincing reason to exercise its inherent jurisdiction under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to quash the FIR in question as the case is still under investigation. In addition, the learned counsel has failed to satisfy this Court as to how an FIR under Section 376 IPC can be quashed on the basis of a compromise. Petition stands dismissed accordingly.
