The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent to grant him promotion with effect from 20.01.1995 against reserved vacancy. 2.

The petitioner concededly was promoted by order dated 21.09.1999. He filed another writ petition before this Court in 1997 and on the direction of this Court, matter was considered and he came to be promoted. Now, he is claiming that he should be promoted with effect from 20.01.1995 instead of 21.09.1999.
