NAMIT KUMAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the order dated 05.05.2000 (Annexure P-10) whereby persons junior to the petitioner have been promoted as Sub-Divisional Officers and the order dated 15.03.2000 (Annexure P-5) vide which Current Duty Charge was given to respondent No.5, without considering the claim of the petitioner and for quashing similar orders of Current Duty Charge in respect of respondent No.3 and orders dated 08.01.1997 (Annexure P-1) in respect of respondent No.4. Further a writ of mandamus has been sought for directing the respondents to consider and promote the petitioner to the post of Sub-Divisional Engineer being senior to private respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that during the pendency of the present petition, the petitioner already stood promoted to the post of Sub-Divisional Officer and retired in the year 2016 and with the efflux of time, the instant petition has been rendered infructuous.

Disposed of as having become infructuous.
