Vide order dated 17.11.2017, Civil Court had directed the parties to maintain status quo regarding possession over the disputed property, which is land 53 bighas 15 biswas and the other property as defined in the civil suit filed by petitioner in the Court of Addl. Civil Judge (Senior Division), Dera Bassi. Thereafter, petitioner-plaintiff has moved an application before the police to restrain the defendants from interfering in his possession, to take legal action against the defendants and direct them to surrender the possession of the property in his favour. The matter in question is of civil nature, as such, no such direction can be passed in this regard.

This petition has no merits. Dismissed.

However, the petitioner will be at liberty to avail other legal remedies available to him.
