*** MANOJ BAJAJ, J.(ORAL) Petitioner has prayed for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.08 dated 07.01.2015, under Sections 307, 148, 149 IPC and Sections 25, 27 of the Arms Act, registered at Police Station Kotwali, Bathinda, Punjab. The FIR was registered on the statement of Gurmail Singh, wherein it was recorded that the previous president of Guru Nanak Union namely Gagandeep Singh was unhappy with the election of complainant as President of the Union. On 07.01.2015, when complainant and his friend Narinder Pal were sitting in the Office of Union then Gagandeep Fouji along with others including the petitioner entered the office. Gagandeep Fouji starting abusing the complainant. When complainant stopped him and asked him not to abuse, at that stage Gagandeep Fouji pulled out a pistol and fired at him. The pellets of the said gun shot had caused injuries on the face of the Narinder Pal. Accused Rupinder Singh @ Kashi had also fired Sheetal Gawri 2019.04.12 15:48 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh with his pistol.

CRM-M-16308-2019 (O & M) -2The petitioner is named in this FIR. The occurrence took place on 07.01.2015 and the learned counsel for the petitioner has relied upon the alleged compromise entered into between the parties. Considering the offences alleged, the compromise is meaningless. It is specifically mentioned that the petitioner was accompanying the assailants Gagandeep Singh and Rupinder Singh, therefore, no case is made out for grant of extra-ordinary concession of prearrest bail and that too after four years of the FIR. Dismissed.
