**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL , J. (ORAL) Case is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing. Through the instant petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No. 0305 dated 07.6.2020, registered under Sections 420 and 120-B IPC, Police Station City Barnala, District Barnala. Vide order dated 28.7.2020, the petitioner was granted interim bail and was directed to join the investigation. He was further directed to deposit Rs. 75,000/- i.e. 50% of the amount in question by way of demand draft in the name of Registrar General of this Court. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that pursuant to the order dated 28.7.2020 passed by this Court, the petitioner has joined the investigation. He further submits that in compliance of the said order, the petitioner has also deposited Rs. 75,000/- by way of demand draft in the name of Registrar of this Court. In this regard, learned counsel has also sent GURPREET SINGH 2020.08.28 17:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chadigarh the receipt bearing No. 137 dated 04.8.2020 through e-mail. Copy of the

CRM-M No. 16711 of 2020 -2same is taken on record.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Kamaljeet Singh, submits that the petitioner has joined investigation and is no more required for any further investigation.

In view of the above facts, but without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the order dated 28.7.2020 granting interim bail to the petitioner is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438 (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

In the meantime, the amount of Rs. 75,000/- deposited by the petitioner by way of demand draft as indicated above, be deposited in a fixed deposit with the State Bank of India, High Court Branch, fetching the maximum rate of interest.
