(Oral) The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to pay the gratuity/death-cumretiral gratuity to the petitioners as per the provisions of The Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, along with interest @ 12% p.a. on the delayed payment.
Learned counsel for respondent No.3 submits that the instant petition has been rendered infructuous as the relief claimed by the petitioners has been granted as their revised gratuity has been released.
In view of the above, the instant petition is disposed of as having become infructuous.
