HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI, J.(ORAL) File has been taken for hearing through video conference due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the respondents are intentionally and willfully disobeying the order passed by this Court dated 03.05.2018 (Annexure P-1) and the benefits in respect of the said order, are yet to be released to the petitioner-management. Learned State counsel submits that State of Punjab intends to avail the remedy of review or appeal, as the case may be, in respect of the order dated 03.05.2018 (Annexure P-1) passed in CWP No.22863 of 2015. Be that as it may, the orders passed by the Court are to be complied with without any fail.

Faced with the situation and keeping in view the facts and circumstances of this case, learned counsel for the respondents seek 8 weeks time to avail their appropriate remedy of review/appeal in respect of the order dated 03.05.2018 passed in CWP No.22863 of 2015. COCP-1165-2020 counsel further submits that if after the expiry of 8 weeks, there is no interim order in favour of the respondent-State, which stays the execution of the benefit as extended to the petitioner vide order dated 03.05.2018 passed in CWP-22863-2015, order dated 03.05.2018 (P-1) will be implemented promptly within a period of four weeks thereafter. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that keeping in view the statement of learned State counsel, he does not wish to press this contempt petition any further and the same may be disposed of as such, but with a liberty to revive the petitioner in case need so arises in future. In view of the above, the present contempt petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to revive the petition in case it becomes necessary after the expiry of time period, granted by this Court.
