1. Pursuant to issuance of directions by this Court on 09.04.2024, necessary inquiries were made by respondent No.3-SHO, Police Station Purana Shalla, District Gurdaspur, as regards the whereabouts of petitioner's daughter.

2. Learned State counsel has today submitted report made by respondent No.3SHO, Police Station Purana Shalla, District Gurdaspur. The same is taken on record. A perusal of report shows that statement of the alleged detenue Warkha have been recorded wherein she has stated that her Date of Birth is 12.12.2006 and that she does not wish to reside with her parents and that her mother wanted to forcibly marry her because of which she left her house. She further stated therein that she is presently residing with Prabha i.e. mother of respondent No.4-Mukesh and that she is not forcibly detained by anybody. Statement of aforesaid Prabha has also been recorded wherein she has stated that Warkha had been residing in her house. 3. In view of the aforestated position wherein the alleged detenue has been recovered and who has categorically stated that she is not illegally detained and that she does not wish to reside with the petitioner, no further directions are required to be issued. The petition, as such is disposed of having been rendered infructuous.
