Learned counsel for the petitioner confines the relief claimed in this petition only qua direction to respondent no. 3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur to look into the representation made by the petitioner to S.H.O., Police Station City Malerkotla, copy of which has been annexed as Annexure P-2 and take appropriate action in accordance with law. In view of short submission of learned counsel for the petitioner but without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No. 3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur to look into the representation made by petitioner (Annexure P-2) and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

However, it is made clear that nothing contained in this order shall be interpreted as giving protection to the petitioner from any legal action to be taken by any competent authority in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings against him in accordance with law.
