The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India is seeking directions to the respondents to re-issue passport.

The petitioner was issued passport on 22.03.2004 which expired on 21.03.2014. The petitioner applied for re-issuance of passport. 3.
Learned counsel for the respondents submits that application of the petitioner has already been closed and if petitioner files fresh application, it would be decided in accordance with law. 4.
Faced with this, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present petition with liberty to file afresh application before the passport authority.
