The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent to release payment with respect to work done by him. 2.

Learned Senior Counsel for the respondent submits that petitioner may be asked to submit invoices/documents with respect to his claim. The competent authority would release admitted liability within three months from the date of submission of documents 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent may be subjected to interest @ 6% per annum from the date of passing bills.

In the wake of statement of parties, the petition stands disposed of with direction to release admitted liability within three months from the date of submitting invoices/documents along with interest @ 6% per annum from the date of passing bills. It is made clear that if payment is not released within aforesaid period, the rate of interest would be 9% from the expiry of said period.
