Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to release the entire pending retiral benefits of Rs.12,11,974/- of the petitioner including leave encashment and gratuity along with interest @ 18% per annu. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the very outset, confines his prayer for deciding legal notice dated 10.03.2024 (Annexure P-2). He submits that at this stage, petitioner would be satisfied, if the said legal notice is decided by passing a speaking order within a time bound frame.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner in the present petition, respondent No.2 is directed to consider and decide the claim made by the petitioner in the legal notice dated 10.03.2024 (Annexure P-2), in accordance with law, by passing a speaking order, within a period of 03 months, from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 7.

The petition stands disposed of.
