(ORAL) All the petitioners herein have joined hands to prefer this petition for seeking the indulgence of this Court for the issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.1 to 8 to take immediate action for the removal of the obstruction created by respondents No.9 to 11 in the natural flow of rainy water by wrongly and illegally raising the level of their fields by filling up earth therein, while averring that their fields and the land of proforma respondents No.12 to 18 adjoin the land/fields belonging to respondents No.9 to 11 and the said obstruction had led to accumulation of huge quantity of rainy water in their fields causing extensive damage to their paddy crop and posing threat to the residential houses of the natives of the Village during the last rainy season.

C.W.P. No.10102 of 2021 (2) Ms. Kanika Sachdeva, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, who has joined the proceedings on behalf of respondents No.1 to 8 in this case in pursuance of the copies of this petition having been sent to the respondent-State in advance, accepts the notice on behalf of these respondents.

Heard.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners would be satisfied in case the instant writ petition is treated as the representation on their behalf and a direction is issued to respondent No.3 to look into and take action on the same, within some specific time-frame.

Learned State counsel has no objection for the same. Keeping in view the above-discussed limited prayer as made by learned counsel for the petitioners and without commenting upon the merits of the case in hand, the instant writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Deputy Commissionercum-Collector, Fatehgarh Sahib, to treat the present writ petition as the representation on behalf of the petitioners. The petitioners would submit the copy of this writ petition to respondent No.3 within a period of three days from today and he shall look into/deal with/take action thereon in accordance with the law/relevant rules within a period of ten days thereafter.
