HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J The case has been taken up by way of Video Conference as per instructions in view of COVID-19 pandemic.

Grievance of the petitioner is that her youngest son Harinder Singh has been residing in Australia since 2008. He married Suman Preet Kaur-daughter of respondent Nos.4 & 5. After the marriage, their relation became strained as the son of the petitioner was assaulted number of times verbally and physically by her wife Suman Preet Kaur for which she was arrested and charged with assault by the local police in Australia on 16.5.2020.

Learned counsel states that respondent Nos.4 & 5, who are parents of Suman Preet Kaur are threatening and harassing the petitioner so that she could impress upon her son to withdraw the case registered against their daughter in Australia. The petitioner has submitted a representation dated 28.5.2020 (P.3) addressed to respondent No.2 in this regard but no action has been taken thereon so far.

Without in any way commenting upon the merits of the case or opining on the veracity of the allegations contained in the representation, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to look into the said representation.
