(ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing the order dated 21.08.2017 (Annexure P-7) passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge, Fatehgarh Sahib, dismissing the application of the petitioner for compounding the offence under the Negotiable Instruments Act.
In pursuance of the written compromise, placed on record, between the parties, final compromised amount of ` 15,94,350/- has been paid by the petitioner to the respondents by way of demand draft No.346055 dated 21.11.2017. The same has been acknowledged by learned counsel for the respondents by signing on the photocopy of the said demand draft. Learned counsel for the parties submit that nothing survives in this petition and the same may be dismissed as infructuous. Dismissed as infructuous. However, both the parties shall be bound by the compromise.
