The petitioners seek quashing of the FIR on the basis of compromise.

Since challan has not been presented and the investigation is at initial stage, let notice of motion be issued. On asking of the court, Ms. HK Athwal, DAG, Punjab has accepted notice. Mr. RS Sekhon, Advocate has also accepted notice on behalf of respondent No.2 Since the complainant admits that the matter has been compromised, I dispose of this petition with a direction that the complainant or the affected person may appear before the investigating officer with supplementary statement. In case the supplementary statement is offered voluntarily, the investigating officer shall record the same. On the basis of the said supplementary statement, the investigating officer may present cancellation report. In case cancellation report is filed, the same will be dealt with in accordance with law by the court of competent jurisdiction.
