Through this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C., prayer has been made for grant of anticipatory bail to petitioner in case FIR No. 34 dated 04.03.2020 registered under Section 420 read with Section 34 IPC and Section 13 of the Punjab Travel Professional (Regulation) Act, 2014 registered at Police Station Kartarpur, District Jalandhar Rural. According to the prosecution, petitioner along with her husband-Yashvir Singh, cheated and defrauded the complainant for `8 lakhs, on the pretext of sending him to Portugal. Learned counsel contends that petitioner is ready to deposit `2 lakhs, out of total cheated amount of `8 lakhs which, in the considered opinion of this Court, is not sufficient, inasmuch as, petitioner is required for custodial interrogation along with her husband, who are indulged in RISHU KATARIA 2020.07.01 12:25 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
