IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA
AT CHANDIGARH CWP-8774-2020 Decided on : 30.06.2020 Rajni . . . Petitioner(s)
Versus
Bank of Baroda and another . . . Respondent(s) CORAM: HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE MANJARI NEHRU KAUL PRESENT: Mr. Vishal Satija, Advocate, for the petitioner(s). **** MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) In this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has prayed for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to allow the petitioner to continue in service as 'Temporary Worker' on which the petitioner is performing his duties meritoriously for the last more than three years. Besides, a further prayer has been made for directing the respondents to release salary/subsistence allowance of the petitioner for the period, during which he remained under suspension.
After arguing for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, if the petition is disposed off with a direction to the official respondents No.1 & 2 to look into the legal notice dated 16.02.2020 (Annexure P-5), which may be treated as representation and take appropriate action.
In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, the petition is disposed off with a direction to respondents No.1 & 2, to look into the representation/legal notice dated 16.02.2020 (Annexure P-5) and take necessary steps, if any required, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within two months, from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.
