Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are facing threat to their life and liberty at the hands of private respondents. He confines his prayer only for direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur to look into this aspect without looking into the property dispute between the parties.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed of with direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur to verify the threat perception to the life and liberty of petitioners and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

It is, however, made clear that the above order will not be interpreted as providing protection to the petitioner from any legal action taken in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings initiated/pending against him in accordance with law.
