H. S. Madaan, J. (Oral) This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed by petitioner Mukesh Kumar craving for issuance of a direction to respondents No. 1 to 3 to trace out his wife Laxmi and minor child, namely, Vidhi, stated to be in illegal custody of private respondents No. 4 to 7.

Admittedly, petitioner has not lodged any FIR in the matter. In that case, the police during the course of investigation would have made earnest efforts to recover the alleged detenues.
